Student Rules & Regulations
▼The Hayansh Academy – Student Rules and Regulations
1. General Conduct
- Students must attend classes on time and maintain discipline during sessions. If a student logs in late, the teacher is not obligated to extend the session or adjust the class duration, as teachers may have back-to-back sessions. The class will end at the scheduled time regardless of the student’s late arrival.
- Mutual respect between students, teachers, and staff is expected at all times.
- Students should ensure they have a proper learning environment (quiet room, good internet, instruments ready) for online classes.
- For Group Classes: When the teacher is teaching another student, others must wait for their turn (first-come-first-serve basis). Students may speak only during their allotted time, and must remain on mute for the rest of the session to avoid disturbance.
2. Attendance & Leave
- If a student cannot attend a scheduled class, prior intimation (at least 24 hours before) is mandatory.
- Missed classes will not be compensated, except when canceled or rescheduled by the academy.
- For Group Classes: There will be NO rescheduling or compensatory classes if a student misses the session.
- If classes fall on mandatory Academy holidays (*please refer the List below), they will not be rescheduled. These days will be considered holidays for both the Academy and Teachers.
- Consistent absenteeism without notice may lead to suspension of classes without refund. Furthermore, if a student takes an extended pause, the Academy will not be held responsible for their slot. After four (4) consecutive weeks of inactivity, all remaining paid and unused classes will be marked as consumed, payment will be released to the teacher and no refund will be provided.
3. Fees & Payments
- Fees payment covers 8 or 4 sessions (whichever opted during registration) at a time. To book your subsequent 9th or 5th class, you must first pay for the next set of respective sessions opted. Classes will be paused until the next payment is made.
- Fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Continuation of classes depends on timely payment. Delayed payment may result in suspension of classes.
4. Class Format & Materials
- Students must join online classes on time with the required device (laptop/phone) and stable internet connection.
- If you are using a phone, place it on a stand so that both you and your instrument are clearly visible to the teacher.
- The academy/teacher may provide practice materials or recordings only for academic use. Sharing outside is strictly prohibited.
- Recording of live sessions without prior permission is not allowed.
5. Teacher & Academy Rights
- The academy reserves the right to change/replace teachers in unavoidable circumstances.
- The academy may adjust class timings in mutual agreement with students/parents.
- The academy holds the right to use photos/videos of classes/performances for promotional purposes (with consent).
6. Disciplinary Action
Any misuse of academy resources, disrespectful behavior, or violation of rules may lead to termination of enrollment without refund.
